Annual Holiday Spice Rub

It’s that time of year again where I make a big batch of my spice rub. I tend to make this rub about twice a year and use it on pretty much about anything. As I cannot truly yield all of the ingredients, I did want to share the idea to all of you this holiday season. I have created this rub and given jars out as gifts for the last several years, and since it gets great reviews, I have extended the offering to a few new folks this year. With some shameless branding for my website, I decided that it would be a good idea to share a few dishes that it goes really well with, including a great steakhouse potato salad I am preparing this weekend.

Some of the ingredients include:

  • Brown Sugar
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Paprika
  • Cannot list any more, but for those that receive it as a gift, feel free to comment and let me know what you think is in it. 🙂

The rub goes great with literally most anything you want to put on the grill. My kids love it rubbed on shrimp. I tend to love rubbing it all over a pork shoulder before smoking it. My wife loves it sprinkled on chicken and sauteed vegetables. You could even use it on a smoked brisket. My cousin just rubbed the Thanksgiving turkey with it, and it was really amazing. So I have created a rub that is versatile and can be used on whatever you so desire. I hope you enjoy the gift, and use it throughout the year. Feel free to store in your spice cupboard, and remember me and the site when you bring out the rub! Happy Holidays everyone.

P.S. Stay tuned to the website as I will be selling this product very soon.
